Quick answer

DSGNBRF provides early construction and fit-out planning ranges for selected India project types. Choose the location, specification, project area and area basis that match the benchmark before using a result.

Benchmark summary

Current published Office Standard city benchmark pages are available for Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune. Each city page derives its summary from the calculator registry and keeps the operating area basis visible.

Early-stage cost planning for projects in India

Construction costs vary across Indian cities, project types and specification levels. DSGNBRF uses the appropriate available benchmark rather than automatically applying one national rate or an invented city adjustment.

Understanding cost per square foot

Cost per square foot is useful for early feasibility only when the area basis and scope are understood. Different benchmark sources may use built-up area, carpet area or another defined measurement basis, so DSGNBRF retains the correct basis for the selected benchmark.

How this estimate works

DSGNBRF selects the relevant available benchmark for the chosen country, location, project type and specification. The applicable project area is then used against the benchmark range to produce an indicative low-to-high project cost.

The calculator does not automatically average unrelated sources or apply arbitrary city, access, floor or basement multipliers. Separate costs are included only where they are explicitly supported by the calculator methodology.

What may not be included in the estimate?

Construction and fit-out budgets often contain costs outside the core benchmark. Unless specifically included by the selected benchmark or entered separately, the DSGNBRF estimate may exclude professional consultant fees, authority and statutory charges, utility connections, landlord deposits, financing and legal costs, VAT or GST, loose furniture, specialist equipment, IT hardware and other project-specific expenditure.

Always review the calculator result and exclusions before using the estimate as a project budget.
